All these things shall give thee experience

As some of you have noticed, I've been away from the blog for a number of weeks. To say this has been a vexing time would be, at best, an understatement. Between a myriad of technological problems and ill health it has been a very challenging few months.

The difficult things:
  • My wonderful computer with all its zippy Photoshop and Publisher software (plus an enormous library of files filled with blog-related graphics, resource information, and bookmarks) fried its CPU. Efforts to reclaim the files' content haven't yet been undertaken.
  • Our DSL modem did its imitation of my computer and also went toes-up so we were offline for an extended period of time because we didn't know what the problem was.
  • My blog wouldn't recognize my husband's computer so I couldn't use it to post.
The hard things:
  • In November my husband and I got the 'boomerang' flu that just would NOT go away and stay away.
  • Then we both got pneumonia but since neither of us had ever had it before we didn't recognize what it was and thought it was just another level of the nasty flu. We went for weeks before treatment was started.
  • My husband was admitted to the hospital where they discovered that in addition to pneumonia he also has blood clots in both lungs and leukemia.
  • We have both felt impressed during prayer that this house is toxic and we need to move.

I'm exhausted!!

So, for now, I'm sending me to my room because I need a nap!

I will begin to post more frequently as I can; I'm once again building up my preparedness resource files to share with all of you.

Thank you for your emails and comments asking where was I and when was I coming back; each message brightened my day!

D&C 122:7-9

All
these things shall give thee experience, and shall be for thy good. The Son of Man hath descended below them all. Art thou greater than he? Therefore, hold on thy way. . .

I am so happy you are back. My prayers are with you and I hope you get better soon.

Do you know anything about solar ovens or how to make one?

Are you familiar with www.infowars.com? They have a wealth of information and there are many links that provide for ways to get healthy without dangerous Western chemicals.

My goodness! I am so sorry for your trials....I wish you blessings with all of it. My mom has pneumonia also, and had a similar experience as you. I never realized, as she did how hard it can be on a person. I wish you as much rest as you can muster. Thank you for your words of inspiration! I will be glad to take what you have, but PLEASE REST! Best wishes.

So very glad your back! Now to give you enough energy to move, do this... Every morning make for your husband and yourself a green smoothie. 2 bananas, 2 handfuls of strawberries, 2 large handfuls of greens, like lettuce, kale, etc. a little honey lots of water and if it doesn't bother you some bee pollen. I promise in 2 weeks you will be feeling the energy. Its Gods food uncooked and FULL of His medicine!!! Thanks for the great information!

Oh my!!!! I am SO glad you are back and that you BOTH are getting the help and medication that you need. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

You know....I was thinking that sometimes our trials are not those that the Lord sends us. He may allow them to happen to help us grow and learn from...... However, he certainly has been mindful and blessed you with safety and the help you need (inspiration...prayers answered) to get better.

It's the adversary that does what he can to thwart good and wonderful plans. Your blog has been a HUGE and wonderful plan to MANY!

Wow, sounds like your computer was as sick as you were!!

I forgot to tell you on Sunday that I put your names in at the temple last time I was up there. I've been incredibly worried about you two.

We will miss you and pray for a speedy recovery for all of you. Have you tried blessing your home instead of moving? Or is it literally toxic? I found that an interesting comment. I pray you have nothing but good things coming in your lives from this moment forward! Thank you for the time you take to put together all of these wonderful newsletters. I learn lots!
